Since 2015, the State Council has set up 59 cross-border e-commerce comprehensive test zones in four batches, which are highlands of innovation rather than policy depressions.
In 2019, China’s cross-border e-commerce retail import and export volume reached 186.21 billion yuan, five times that of 2015, with an average annual growth rate of 49.5%. The role of the comprehensive test zone in the development of foreign trade has become increasingly prominent.
Ren Hongbin said that in the next step, the Ministry of Commerce will work with relevant departments to promote traditional enterprises to access the Internet.
